As a Hadoop Developer you will be playing an integral part in Hadoop Research, Development and Implementation. You will be involved in data processing using MapReduce, Cascading, Spark, Hive, Pig. Our ideal candidate will be one who possesses an attitude to think outside the box, question the obvious and willing to learn and work on multiple systems.
As a Hadoop developer you will work on Hadoop data ingestion frameworks Execute data processing using MapReduce, Cascading, Spark, Hive, Pig Design, build, install, configure and support Hadoop batch and real-time applications Ensure Hadoop application performance optimizations Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed design Maintain security and data privacy Participate in POC effort to help build new Hadoop clusters Test prototypes and oversee handover to operational teams
Propose and document best practices/standards.
Desired skillsets and qualifications for this position:
Knowledge of Cloudera or Hortonworks Hadoop Experience in writing MapReduce jobs Excellent understanding and experience in Java/J2ee, Web Services, Spring, XML, Linux, Shell Scripting Experience with Hive Query Language (Hive/ HQL) Worked on Linux / Unix shell script
